Hari Raya Celebration in School

                On the 7th of July 2018, SMK Damansara Jaya held a memorable event which was a Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration amongst the entire student body and the respected teachers. Every student was allowed to wear any traditional clothes from any race to school. I believe that the sole purpose of wearing traditional clothes to school were for us to realize that every race and culture had its own unique way of showing its beauty. As the students marched down to the school hall with mismatched rhythms you could see vibrant and vivid colours flashing all over the school walkways and corridors. Everyone utilized the opportunity given to them to show off just how beautiful each and everyone of their traditional clothes were. The event started off just like any other official event, by the singing of our national anthem 'Negaraku'. The event started off with a drama and musical performance of the lifestyle of the malays who celebrated Hari Raya and it was fun to watch. Everyone was also invited to feast on food that were specially served during this festive season. Everyone took their own share of the portion so that others could have an equal chance of eating the food. The students then took pictures with their friends with the help of the schools beloved and talented photographers. That was pretty much the highlight of the whole event if you ask me. It was a memorable event.
